The North Shore Choral Society hosted a standing-room-only crowd for its 2019 Benefit at Evanston's Levy Center on Sunday, April 7. An ensemble cast performed "The Liberty Lines: Songs and Stories of the Underground Railroad," an original production that included folk music, spirituals, and first-person narratives.

The ensemble cast included Casey Calhoun, Gloria Robinson,
Tonya Peebles, Runako Soyini, Christopher Skyles, and
Andrew Calhoun.

Thomas W. Jefferson, with whom NSCS collaborated for its March concert, provided musical
interludes featuring his own arrangements of traditional spirituals.

Thanks to everyone who supported the NSCS 2019 Benefit through your donations, your participation, your attendance, and your generous sharing of your talents.
