All donations are acknowledged in the next three concert program booklets (unless anonymity is requested) following receipt of your donation. NSCS welcomes gifts made in honor of, or in memory of, an individual and will publish your tribute in our program booklets as well. See below for more ways you can support the NSCS.

Employer Matching Gifts. Many companies match employees’ charitable donations. Contact your employer’s human resources or public affairs department to see if your gift to NSCS qualifies and increase the impact of your gift.
Tribute Gifts. You can honor or memorialize a loved one and your tribute will be published in the next three concert program booklets following receipt of your donation. Simply indicate this in the memo line of your check, on the NSCS donation card, or through this website and enter “in honor of” or “in memory of” in the space provided.

Gifts of appreciated securities. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation NSCS can accept appreciated securities, which may have significant tax benefits. For detailed information for the stock transfer process see the Gifts of Stock page.
Donations of IRA distributions. A qualified charitable distribution is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA payable directly to a qualified charity. These donations are excluded from your taxable income and can be counted towards any required minimum distribution for the year. Talk with your financial professional or tax advisor to see how you may benefit from a qualified charitable distribution.
Plan a Legacy Gift.
Leave a lasting legacy to singers and audiences of the future and help build an endowment to carry NSCS forward into the next eighty-five years. There are a number of ways to contribute through your own estate planning which may be eligible for charitable income and/or gift or estate tax deductions. NSCS encourages you to consult your financial professional or tax advisor to determine how you or your estate may benefit.
Support Emerging Artists through The Donald Chen Young Artist Fund
Established in 2008, this fund supports young, emerging singers through the Donald Chen Young Artist Award which gives a talented young singer a stipend and a solo role in an NSCS concert. The award honors Dr. Donald Chen, who retired at the end of our 72nd season after twenty-four years as Music Director. Donations may be made directly to this fund and are acknowledged in our concert program booklets. See our Young Artists page for information about the most recent competition.
