The North Shore Choral Society is a not-for-profit community chorus which has served this area for eighty-five years, giving many hundreds of non-professional singers the opportunity to perform choral masterworks, both classical and contemporary. The NSCS is a member of the Illinois Arts Alliance and has been partially supported by grants from the Illinois Arts Council, an agency of the State of Illinois.
Principal support, however, comes from the generosity of individual and corporate sponsors as well as from ticket sales during our concert season. Individual and corporate sponsorship helps NSCS carry out its mission to explore, study, and perform a wide range of choral music for the enrichment and enjoyment of its singers and audiences and to pursue opportunities for educational outreach and engagement in the community.
